We would like to kick off 2021 by introducing our featured artist of the week: Liza-Anastasia DiCecco. Liza-Anastasia is a PhD student in the Materials Science and Engineering Program at the Faculty of Engineering.

"Art for me is therapeutic, I do it as a tiny escape from reality and love exploring different mediums for expressing myself. Often, I am inspired from things in my daily life, from hiking around the Niagara Escarpment to the complex structures I analyze using electron microscopy in my research. This commissioned piece aims to bring a little more nature inside to brighten up a new office, just in time for winter."

You can follow Liza-Anastasia on Twitter or Instagram.
